Man accused of exposing self arrested 7 times in 2 years

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — This is the seventh time in the last two years Dea Williams has faced a judge on indecent exposure charges.

A 16-year-old victim of his told Eyewitness News on Friday that Williams needs to stay in jail. Channel 9 is not identifying the victim.

"Cannot believe that he is out and keeps getting out," she said.

Two years ago, Williams followed her as she walked home from Hunter Huss High School and then exposed himself.

"It was definitely something that scared me for life," she said.

He was convicted of that crime, forced to register as a sex offender and placed on GPS monitoring.

Channel 9 was there when he was arrested again two months ago for exposing himself in front of a probation office in Gastonia. He was convicted of that crime as well.

Police said that days after his release, he exposed himself to a woman at a Gastonia church. Earlier this week, he's accused of exposing himself in the lobby of an agency that helps families and counsels rape victims.

"He is definitely a danger to our community," the victim said.

The 16-year-old said she fears he will eventually hurt someone.

"He needs to be locked away for good," she said.

Williams' trial is scheduled for July 11.
