Man accused of having meth materials in car at time of crash

SHELBY, N.C. — A man had materials to make methamphetamine in his car when he crashed into a rock wall, police said.

Officers said Ryan Hannah crashed off Highway 74 in Shelby on Wednesday. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution and later arrested.

Hannah is charged with driving while impaired and violating probation.

Police told the Gaston Gazette that he will also face drug charges.
