CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police charged a man Tuesday in the shooting death of Gary B. Bynum on May 27.
Jansen Tobias Johnson, 35, was charged with murder in the shooting that happened on John Penn Road off The Plaza in east Charlotte.
Bynum, 34, was shot in the head, police said.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital, where he died.
