A man died and another man was seriously injured after a crash Friday afternoon on Highway 421, Wilkes EMS told Channel 9.
It happened around 2 p.m. in the 15000 block of Highway 421 near Deep Gap.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was airlifted to the Johnson City Medical Center.
Officials said the men were pinned in the truck for about one hour. Channel 9 is working to gather more information. Check back for updates to this story.
