CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police in Charlotte have arrested a man they said killed a Winston-Salem State University football player earlier this year.
Officers arrested Jakier Austin Wednesday night. He is accused in the January death of Najee Baker.
Police in Winston-Salem said Austin shot and killed Baker at a party on Wake Forest's campus.
They have not released a motive for the shooting but said it happened during a fight.
