Police charge man in Mooresville bank robbery

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Police arrested a man Saturday in connection to a Mooresville bank robbery thanks to multiple Crime Stopper tips.

On Friday, a man told the teller at the Fifth Third Bank on North Main Street that he had a gun and demanded money, police said.

Officials released surveillance photos from the bank, which led to the arrest of Juan Manuel Humanes, 28, of Mooresville.

Police charged Humanes with common law robbery and arrested him for unrelated warrants related to traffic offenses.

"This quick arrest is contributed to the response of our officers, Crime Stopper tips and the help of our citizens," Major Gerald Childress said.
