FORT MILL, S.C. — A school official found a pipe full of marijuana in a 5-year-old's backpack, police said.
The official was loading Valentine's Day cards into the child's bag at Pleasant Knoll Elementary in Fort Mill Friday afternoon.
The pipe belonged to the child's father, Donnie Aldridge, police said.
They said Aldridge didn't realize his son would be taking the bag to school.
The Department of Social Services was contacted, and the child is in the care of a family member.
