CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A winter weather advisory has expanded to most of our forecast area for Thursday as we anticipate snow to arrive by midday.
It goes into effect at 5 a.m. for the mountains and 10 a.m. for everyone else.
>> In the video at the top of this webpage, meteorologist Jaclyn Shearer talks about what kind of accumulation you should expect to see on roads and lawns.
want to emphasize that this is just an advisory. metro area will see less than two inches of snow, impacts will be minimal. most of the accumulation will happen on lawns. i'm explaining the diff between roads and lawns as snow falls coming up on @wsoctv tonight at 5 and 6:15 p.m. https://t.co/dviIbbH8ei
