BOONE, N.C. — The world’s largest national cooperative life-saving mobile pet adoption event travels to Boone Saturday.
The Watauga Humane Society has partnered with the North Shore Animal League America's 2015 Tour For Life for a pet adoption event at the Boone Mall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public can adopt dogs and cats at the event and win Purina pet food giveaways. The event will also host a low-cost rabies clinic and $25 micro-chipping.
The Tour for Life will visit 37 cities and 26 states until mid-May to find loving owners for their animals. Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization and has saved more than 1,000,000 lives.
