Mooresville-based Lowe’s to pay bonuses, require masks for workers

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Lowe’s Cos. Inc. will spend $80 million for a special payment to hourly associates in May for unplanned expenses and hardships.

Hourly employees will receive a one-time sum of $300, while part-time employees will receive $150. This is the second time Lowe’s made that special payment, matching one made in March.

Lowe’s is also requiring all employees wear a mask or approved face covering when working in stores or at customers’ homes.
