14-year-old girl missing from Mooresville found safe, police say

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A 14-year-old girl reported missing from Mooresville High School was found safe.

On Wednesday, the Mooresville Police Department was asking for the public’s help to find 14-year-old DaShanna McCain.

She was reportedly last seen around 10:30 a.m. at Mooresville High School.

McCain is described as a Black girl, about 5 foot, 3 inches, slim built with medium length hair pulled into a bun on the top of her head.

She was last seen wearing a black, puffy jacket, a gray hoodie, black faded and ripped jeans and red shoes.

Any person with information on McCain’s location is asked to call MPD at 704-664-3311.
