GASTONIA, N.C. — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Tuesday night in Gastonia, police said.
The collision happened just after 7:15 p.m. on North New Hope Road at Auten Road.

According to investigators, a motorcycle was traveling north and an SUV was traveling south, attempting to turn left onto Auten Road, when the two vehicles collided.
Police said the motorcyclist, 22-year-old Bryan Alexander Del Gado, died at the hospital from his injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash.
Officers closed North New Hope Road while they investigated the crash.
Police did not release information on how the crash happened and if anyone will be charged for it.
