N.C. drug card offers dental plan to N.C. residents to promote Rx awareness week

RALEIGH, N.C. — All North Carolinians will have the opportunity to download a free Aetna Dental Access card this week.

The offer was launched to help celebrate Rx Awareness Week.

North Carolina Drug Card is a free statewide prescription assistance program that was launched in 2009.

"Our goal this week is to inform the residents that there is a program that can help them with their medication costs. Many families are struggling with the rise of health care costs, and we are pleased to offer these programs to help them," Mike Walker, program director for North Carolina Drug Card, said.

Aetna Dental Access provides savings on dental services at over 169,000 dental practice locations nationwide.

North Carolina Drug Card can offer significant savings on brand and generic medications and is accepted at most pharmacies across North Carolina.

All North Carolina residents are eligible for this program.
