NCDOT donates medical supplies to local health departments

RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina’s Department of Transportation donated medical supplies to local health departments.

They donated gloves, protective suits and N-95 masks.

NCDOT officials said the workers use that person protective equipment at construction sites and decided to lend a helping hand.

“Every single division, all 14 of them across the state of North Carolina, are donating their PPE, at least what they can," said NCDOT communication officer, David Uchiyama.

So far, 1,700 gloves, 145 suits and more than 100 N-95 masks have been donated.
