HICKORY, N.C. — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated families can safely celebrate Halloween this weekend amid the ongoing pandemic.

Many neighborhoods across our area will be passing out candy over the next couple of days.

However, some people are concerned about the number of kids and the pandemic. Some residents have put signs in their yard asking folks to stay away.
“It’s a personal preference whether people want to go ahead and continue the tradition or whether they rather go ahead and be safe,” resident Ken Eidenmiller said.
