New AC Hotel in Ballantyne nears opening

CHARLOTTE — AC Hotels by Marriott is targeting a Dec. 16 opening in Ballantyne.

The 186-room hotel is at 14819 Ballantyne Village Way. It occupies the first seven floors of the Panorama Tower. The 17-story mixed-use building includes roughly 100,000 square feet of Class A office space above the hotel.

Concord Hospitality, a Raleigh-based hotel development and management company, is behind that $100 million project.

The AC Ballantyne marks the third for that flag in the Charlotte market since 2018, following facilities in uptown Charlotte and SouthPark.

The lifestyle brand features a modern design and amenities. Guest rooms have sleek furnishings, high-end finishes and fixtures, and touches of European inspiration. The Ballantyne hotel offers a mix of queen and king guest rooms that include large picture windows with views of uptown Charlotte and the suburbs.
