BOONE, N.C. — The story of local Boone bookstore Foggy Pine Books is coming to an end.
Our partners at the Charlotte Observer reported that the store will close for good on April 15.
Channel 9 introduced the small business in 2021 when they were struggling to stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The store’s concerns were soon taken care of thanks to support and promotion from ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, actor Sam Elliot, who narrated the store’s Super Bowl ad, and Tom Hanks speaking about the store.
After seven years in business, the store will close next Saturday.
