CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A site in walking distance to the 36th Street Station on the Lynx Blue Line in NoDa is under contract to be sold to a New York real estate developer.
Tarlton Long, vice president of project planning at Avery Hall, confirmed the company is under contract for a 3.5-acre site in NoDa, at 3100 N. Tryon St., near the corner of North Tryon and East 36th streets. Long declined to comment further on the site or specific development plans.
The property today includes a car dealership and undeveloped land.
Avery Hall has filed a rezoning petition with the city to rezone the land to TOD-CC, or transit-oriented development community center, a moderately intense zoning district. A mix of commercial and residential uses are permitted in TOD-CC, and new buildings may be up to 90 feet tall byright or up to 130 feet through a height bonus.
