CHARLOTTE — A new hotel opened Thursday near the Charlotte airport.
Channel 9 was there when Charlotte hotelier PM Patel, his family, and supporters officially cut the ribbon to open Spark by Hilton.
The 121-room property is off Interstate 85 on Sloan Drive.
Patel said the hotel supports investment in Charlotte’s airport corridor, which is in the Charlotte Airport Area Strategic Development Plan.
