New mural at SouthPark Mall encapsulates Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — A postcard-style mural at SouthPark Mall has everything to love about Charlotte from food and beer to the Hornets and Panthers.

Mall officials talked about the inspiration behind the “Greetings from Charlotte” design, which is in the West Plaza near the dining pavilion.

“We looked to our friends who visit Charlotte for ideas and what they promote for Charlotte, as a whole,” said Holly Bancleave, with SouthPark Mall. “And we also wanted to go statewide with the last two letters that show everything from ‘First in Flight’ to the state bird -- the beaches, the mountains.”
