CHARLOTTE — A busy road in NoDa is closed for two months so Storm Water Services can replace old infrastructure, officials said Thursday.
North Davidson Street between East 26th and East 28th streets closed Thursday afternoon to traffic. It’s closed through May 19.

- Outbound: North Davidson Street to Parkwood Avenue to North Brevard Street to Jordan Place to North Davidson Street
- Inbound: North Davidson Street to Jordan Place to North Brevard Street to Parkwood Avenue to North Davidson Street
“We had no idea this was going on,” one neighbor told Channel 9′s Mark Taylor.
“So no warning as far as you know?” Taylor asked.
“No.”
The $3.5 million project includes replacing aging storm drainage infrastructure and the installation of a box culvert.
A portion of East 27th Street was already closed in February and will stay closed until the project is complete later this year.
