North Carolina ranks 2nd for best BBQ spots in America

NORTH CAROLINA — North Carolina ranks second in the nation in best BBQ spots only behind Georgia, according to TripAdvisor.

The rankings comprised from the travel site's community of millions of travelers.

South Carolina also made the top 10 list, coming in at No. 6.

"Nothing says American summer like barbecue, and with styles that vary by region, aficionados get fired up over which states serve up the best," said Brooke Ferencsik, director of communications for TripAdvisor.

3.    Texas
4.    Missouri
5.    Tennessee
6.   South Carolina
7.    Florida
8.    Illinois

10.   Kansas
