NORTH CAROLINA — North Carolina will get a cut of a nationwide opioid settlement.

Purdue Pharma and its Sackler family owners agreed to more than $7 billion.

It is tied to claims that OxyContin caused a widespread opioid addiction crisis.

North Carolina is set to receive up to $150 million.
