CHARLOTTE — Parkwood Avenue is closed for part of Tuesday for a utility project.

Crews are installing a new gas line between Umstead and Parson streets, just west of Hawthorne Lane.
Drivers can use Grace or Kennon streets as alternate routes.
The road is expected to reopen by 4 p.m. Tuesday.
