O.J. Simpson was released from a Nevada prison overnight and his next residence is causing controversy.
Simpson spent the last nine years in prison after being convicted of armed robbery.
Simpson's attorney said his client wants to spend his parole in Florida where two of his children live.
The Florida attorney general is stepping in to try and prevent that from happening.
She wrote to the Department of Corrections, calling him a risk to the people of Florida.
The attorney general also pointed to Simpson’s notoriety and called it a burden on the state.
“He wants to eat seafood and eat steak and enjoy the very simple pleasures that he hasn't enjoy in nine years,” Simpson’s attorney said.
Florida's Department of Corrections does have the authority to stop Simpson from living there if an investigation finds that he does not meet certain criteria.
