33-year-old woman killed in northwest Charlotte crash involving flatbed wrecker

CHARLOTTE — A 33-year-old woman was killed late Wednesday night in a wreck that involved the SUV she was driving and a flatbed wrecker in northwest Charlotte, police said.

The accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. along Brookshire Boulevard near Interstate 85.

Samantha Lasha Brayboy was speeding when the left front of her Infiniti EX35 hit the back of the truck, officers say.

MEDIC said Brayboy died at the scene.

The driver of the flatbed was not hurt.
