CHARLOTTE — COVID-19 spread inside Tieria Cole’s at-home preschool, All About the Kidz, over Thanksgiving and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services shut it down for two weeks.

Cole said she has been taking all the precautions but believes the state’s rules are strict, which is a good thing to her.
“It’s very important to keep them healthy and safe,” she said.
The state health department requires exposed daycare children to quarantine, stay out of school for five days after exposure and wear a mask in class for another five days.

But children under two, who are too young to wear masks, must stay home for 10 days.
