PAGELAND, S.C. — More permanent changes are coming for Pageland's police department.
Chief Larry Brown announced Tuesday night that he will retire on April 6.
Brown has been on leave for four months because of a SLED investigation that's still open.
Officials still haven't said what the investigation is about.
Earlier this month the city named Chesterfield County Sheriff Jay Brooks as the interim police chief.
Brown has been working under Brooks since that time.
