CHARLOTTE — A patient was assaulted while near one of the valet parking areas at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Center, according to a spokesperson for the hospital.
The spokesperson said the incident occurred Thursday morning.
The patient was taken to the emergency department for evaluation and monitoring. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Atrium said the safety of patients, visitors and teammates remains a top priority and their security team is conducting a thorough review to ensure everything possible is done to keep unacceptable events like this from occurring at any of our facilities.
