CHARLOTTE — A shooting Saturday night left a man dead in west Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
Officers arrived on the scene at Brooksvale Street, near Billy Graham Parkway and West Boulevard, just after 11:15 p.m. and found 54-year-old Matthew Simmons, who had been shot.
Paramedics pronounced Matthew Simmons dead at the scene.
Detectives charged and arrested Shamika Simmons, 28, with murder.
Police haven’t said what led up to the shooting.
