GASTONIA, N.C. — Officials are investigating after a person was hit by a train in Gastonia Tuesday afternoon.
It happened near Airline Avenue and Rhyne Street.
According to Gaston Emergency Medical Services, the person was taken to an area hospital. They are considered to be in critical condition.
No additional details have been made available.
