CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police is conducting a homicide investigation on Sunday afternoon on Driftwood Drive.
Officers said that the incident occurred at 1:29 p.m. Sept. 1.
When officers arrived on the scene they located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics said that 26-year-old Jose Jesus Hernandez-Diaz was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Medic said the second victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center – Main with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives said that the shooting is believed to have taken place inside the El Gavilan Club.
