Rockingham County deputies are searching for the person who they said killed a Duke Energy employee and his wife.
Troy and Ladonna French were found shot to death in their home on Saturday around 2 a.m., victims of what police said was a home invasion robbery.
The couple's daughter, Whitney French, 19, was also in their Rockingham County home. She was cut but was not seriously hurt, police said.
A neighbor said she wants justice for the slain couple. "It makes me think it's sad that there are people in the world like this and justice should be served and they should be caught," said neighbor Patricia Smith.
One assailant was seen running from the home wearing dark clothing.
Officers have been patrolling the neighborhood trying to calm neighbors’ fears and look for anything suspicious.
