Burger King employee at Carolina Place robbed at gunpoint

PINEVILLE, N.C. — An employee at the Burger King near Carolina Place Mall was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon, according to Pineville police.
 
The employee was leaving his vehicle in the Burger King parking lot when a white Dodge Neon pulled up, police said.

A front-seat passenger got out and flashed a handgun, demanding money.
 
The employee gave the robber the money and was not injured, according to police.
 
The robber was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 140-160 pounds and wearing dark clothes at the time of the robbery.
