CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they charged a man Wednesday for a deadly crash last year involving a truck and a motorcycle in west Charlotte.
Christopher Summit, 30, was charged for the murder of 58-year-old Jimmy Tilley.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. on Oct. 26 on Little Rock Road, just south of Freedom Drive.
Officers said they were responding to a disturbance call, but when they got there, they found a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck in the front yard of a home.
The motorcyclist, Tilley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Little Rock Road between David Avenue and Tracy Avenue was closed while police investigated the crash.
Authorities have not said what led to the crash but investigated it as a homicide.
