Police investigating possible bank robbery connections

MOORESVILLE — Mooresville police believe a man who robbed the Fifth Third Bank on Wednesday may be connected to a bank robbery that happened in Marion on Friday.

In a written statement, the Mooresville Police Department said:

"We believe they may be connected and our investigators are in contact with the other agencies."

Police said the man who robbed the Mooresville Fifth Third Bank hid his face behind sunglasses and a hat while holding up the bank. He took off on foot before officers arrived.

According to WLOS, the Fifth Third Bank in Marion was robbed by a man wearing a black hoodie and a black and white hat. He was in and out of the bank in about five minutes. He did not have a weapon with him.
