RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are now ruling the death of a 2-year-old Raleigh boy a homicide.
Officers responded Thursday afternoon to a home on Somerset Mill Lane for a child in distress.
The caller initially said the boy passed out while he was playing and eating.
The toddler was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police said Saturday that they are considering the case a homicide.
No charges have been filed.
