15-year-old, 6 other juveniles accused of carjacking woman at gas station near Concord Mills

CONCORD, N.C. — Concord police have arrested a 15-year-old boy accused of carjacking a woman at a gas station near the Concord Mills Mall in July.

It happened at the Circle K on Concord Mills Boulevard on July 25.

In video released by Concord police, you could see the 15-year-old suspect walk up to the woman’s car and put a gun to her head.

Once she gets out, he gets in and tries to drive away but she held on to the trunk trying to block him.

He dragged her briefly before speeding off. Police said she suffered minor injuries.

Later that day, police found the car and tried to pull it over but the suspect did not stop. Officers followed the vehicle until the suspect lost control and crashed into another car in Charlotte, where he tried to run away.

The 15-year-old has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and more charges may be pending.

In addition, Concord Police said six other juveniles, ranging from ages 13 to 15, have been charged as accomplices.
