Police make arrest in Gastonia home invasion

GASTONIA, N.C. — Police said they've finally caught the man who broke into a Gastonia home months ago and held a knife to someone's throat.

Damien Garrett is now in jail on a $300,000 bond.

Police said he invaded a home on Oceola Street in January and robbed the people inside.

They said he held one victim at gunpoint, shoved another and took $500 worth of pills.
