CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials are investigating after one person was found dead in east Charlotte Tuesday morning.

Police and emergency personnel responded to the area off Albemarle Road at Faulconbridge Road near the Waverly Swim Club.
Officials said one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Channel 9 crews could see crime scene tape roping off the area with several patrol cars parked outside.
Police said this is a death investigation, but haven't released any other details.
