CORNELIUS, N.C. — A business owner in Cornelius is offering a $5,000 reward after someone stole his custom-made race car.
Neil Jackson said he had his car parked in a trailer outside his store at the Mattress Express on Statesville Road.
He noticed someone cut the lock off his trailer Thursday morning and stole it.
He said it took him four years to build the car.
"It just makes me sick," he said. "And I'll say it again because it's something I've got four years in and a lot of money. Now somebody's got it and it's not even theirs."
Anyone with information is asked to call Cornelius police.
