Popular uptown pub crawl keeps on chugging amid coronavirus

CHARLOTTE — A popular pub crawl in Charlotte will still be held Saturday, organizers said Tuesday.

Organizers with the Rich and Bennett’s 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl said they made the decision to continue based on Gov. Roy Cooper’s suggestion not to cancel mass gatherings in North Carolina because of the COVID-19.

“Ahead of Saturday’s festivities, we have requested additional hand washing and sanitizing stations at our check-in lot and have been in touch with all participating bars and restaurants to encourage an increase in existing sanitization and maintenance efforts,” organizers said in a news release.

They said if you are sick then don’t attend the pub crawl.

For those who can no longer attend, they can get a refund before 5 p.m. Friday. To ask about a refund, contact info@richandbennett.com.
