CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An early-morning accident shut down one lane of Idlewild Road on Sunday. The Charlotte Fire Department and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a vehicle that rolled over at the 7600 block of Idlewild Road, near WT Harris Boulevard, around 7:30 a.m.
When Channel 9 arrived on scene, the car was still on its side. A power pole was also knocked over, blocking the intersection of Idlewild Road and Lynmont Drive.
Two people were transported by Medic with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident
