CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A third convicted sex offender recently moved out of an east Charlotte group home that's surrounded by families.
The Department of Justice said Timothy Coffield no longer lives at the group home for sex offenders on McAlpine Lane.

The Department of Public Safety said it's actively searching for other places for the remaining three sex offenders to stay but neighbors near the home say they're still skeptical.
Just weeks ago, many of those neighbors were outraged when they learned one of the sex offenders living in the home tried to walk into a nearby day care.
They've been pushing to get the convicted criminal out of the home for months.
