SOUTH CAROLINA — High school seniors in South Carolina can now start applying for the Teaching Fellows program.
As many as 175 high school seniors are awarded the fellowship every year.
Fellows get up to $24,000 in scholarship money while they complete a degree in the education field.
Fellows agree to teach in S.C. public schools for every year they receive the scholarship.
