CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Another candidate is officially filing to run for Charlotte mayor.
Democratic Senator Joel Ford is promising to bring a different perspective to the office and unite the city.
Current Mayor Jennifer Roberts, Mayor Pro-Tem Vi Lyles and Constance Partee Johnson have already filed to run in the Democratic primary.

On the Republican side, Kenny Smith, Kimberly Paige Barnette and Gary Mitchell Dunn are running against each other.
