CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Channel 9 has learned that a student from Myers Park High School was seriously injured in a Thursday morning crash in Cotswold.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Castleton Road and North Sharon Amity Road in Cotswold around 7 a.m.

Medic said two people were injured in the crash. The Myers Park student suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
Both victims were transported to Carolinas Medical Center Main.
North Sharon Amity Roadwas shut down from Craig Avenue to Lyttleton Drive for several hours as police investigated the accident.
The identity of the victims have not yet been released. Friends identified the student as Thomas Crain, a senior at Myers Park High School.
Charlotte DOT officials said there were 11 accidents there between 2009 and 2011.
But, the intersection is not listed on the city's "High Accident Location" list.
As of Thursday, the DOT had no plans for changes.
