GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A 62-year-old man from Gaston County was missing Thursday night, and officials issued a Silver Alert in hopes of finding him. After a couple of hours, officials canceled the alert.

Phillip Tobias, who may have dementia or another cognitive impairment, was last seen on South Marietta Street in Gastonia.
No further information has been released.
