CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued a silver alert for a missing 75-year-old man on saturday.
The Center for Missing Persons put out a Silver Alert for Wayne Simpson around 5 p.m.
Police said he was last seen along SJ Lawrence Road off Hamilton Road and Steele Creek Road, driving a gold 1996 Chevy Silverado truck with a North Carolina license plate.
They say Simpson may have dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Simpson returned home, and the alert was canceled early Sunday morning.
