CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Silver Alert has been canceled for a missing 68-year-old Charlotte woman.
Officers said Linda Marinello, who has dementia and short-term memory, was found in Gastonia after a community member saw her and reached out to the police. Officers were able to make a traffic stop and make contact with Marinello.

A family member told officers they reported her disappearance after they returned home just after 7 p.m. Monday and could not find her.
Before her disappearance, she was last seen at her home near Redcoat Drive between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Monday. Officers believed she was driving a maroon 2008 Honda Accord with the North Carolina tag MARNELLO.
When she was reported missing, she was wearing a blue Carolina Panthers sweatshirt, blue jeans and blue shoes.
